Heatwave
Heatwave is a very short and interesting movie that opened my eyes about the racism that occurred within the 60s. Not only does it teach students about the African culture, it shows an inner meaning to what African Americans experienced within society. What I found most important was that I came to understand what it was like to be non-white and hurt from the cause of the white "man" has made them fear. However not all "white" people are evil, but not all "non-white" are good. In the human race, society all search for equality in some way but put themselves in position to change who they are and change their life goals to a life they never wanted. But as non-white or even being white itself, no other should be put down and given a label like "negro" or placed in one category. This is where the question comes in, if we believe in equality of all, then shouldnt all people of society, no matter the color, race, or sex be able to do the same things as the other?
